and so begins my miniature zoo...

My mom made my day with this little guy today:
Isn't he cute? I don't know what to call him. He is one of those adorable Japanese erasers!
(hint hint: I collect these so they would be an awesome birthday present ;D)

likeliness to post regularly increased by 99.9% thanks to...

My shiny, clean, brand-squeeing-new netbook laptop!
This is my new baby, Unnamed Toshiba Netbook that is White and Tiny.
It's a little 10.1" laptop and I loveeee it!
'Twas a graduation prezzie (well, the money I bought it with, anyway)
I'm considering putting white ears and a bow on it so it might look like a certain feline I love...
I might use the Hello Kitty square design. It would work well for this purpose.
Anyways, this baby is inspiring me to post more often, so check back for more updates!
<3, Ana :)

i fail at updating...

but it's alright :)
hello! guten tag! konnichiwa! ni hao! hi in other languages!

enormous apologizes for not posting for 63 years :( or that's what it feels like...?
but there are good things on the way!

first of all, let's take a look at this:
eh, you say. hello kitty holding an apple. pretty cute. eh eh. (add an extra eh if you are canadian xD)

but check this out:
whoa! our favorite feline dressed as... various other animals? awwwwwww! I need that koala!
yeah. uh-huh. I want it too. I'm so glad I received a 25 dolla gift card to target (where these babies are sold) so i can obtain them! I'm thinking of getting the koala dress-up and possibly the apple-holding one (it's of a more huggable size.) I can't wait to bring them to school!

I've come to earn a reputation at my school as the resident hello kitty lover- heck, cuteaholic- every day I come in with my current stuffed hello kitty, a few of my precious japanese miniature food erasers, and often some kind of prop. those usually consist of a huge fake ice cream cone, sleeping mask, or my prized h.k. coloring book. I'm currently waiting to receive some my little pony bows I ordered on Etsy from the lovely PinkiePiexo . All my school supplies are deced out in kawaii stickers and I only use h. k. notebooks. I try not to annoy people with my addiction by sleeping all day in class :) well, not all day.

next time I'm planning on posting more pics so stay tuned  :)

peace, bro!

pictures, finally!

Yay! I figured how to get my pictures on my phone on to the computer! And now, ladies and germs, I present to youuuu..... PICTURES!
This is the lovely bow tree I mentioned in this post a while ago. Currently I'm looking for the perfect place in my room to put it. I especially love the ribbon I used for the trunk of the tree. It reminds me of Seth Aaron from this season of Project Runway. I'm not the only one who watches that show, right?

This is my kitty, Katybug. Meow. Meow meow.

Applesauce! My cable is being a jerk. It's not letting me upload any more pictures.... so this post is To Be Continued! *cue spooky wooooooing music* I will post pics of my hello kitty collection, the chipmunk thingy, and mooore!

Night,

hooray! Up won 2 Oscars!

If you know me, you know I love Disney-Pixar movies. They all have cute characters, and the stories aren't overly mushy. I especially love WALL-E and Finding Nemo. But, I have to say, my absolute favorite is Up. Who could forget Russel, the adorable boy-scout typething, Mr. Fredrickson, the cute little old man, the awesome talking dog Dug, and the pretty bird called Kevin? The story is so sweet. I'm so glad it won Best Animated Feature. And some other award about music or something. I don't know much about that stuff.

And, since I love this movie SO much. I'm planning to add an element from the movie to my collection. I'm thinking a little house with balloons shooting out of the top. I think I know how I could bring that to life. If I can finish this new project during this week, I'll put it in my massive picture post I'm planning for Friday. Yay, it's soon!

                                                                                              Wish me luck,
                                                                                                          Ana

working hard...or hardly working

Haha, corny title..but yes I have been working hard this fine weekend. On Saturday, we celebrated my dear friend Elise's birthday party by volunteering at Feed My Starving Children. At that wonderful place you pack food ingredients that will be sent to children that don't have food. It was a moving experience. I hope to do it again sometime.

Photo is from flickr.com

Anyway, off topic but.... it did inspire me to use materials that I already had to create some cuteness. I ended up making this tree clip out of some old ribbon. I used random colors to make it less Christmas-ish. I also made this stuffed chipmunk out of an old orphan glove. Except I used a gray glove and so it looked like a mouse. And my sewing  isn't that great. But, I still think it's cute. I PROMISE pictures as soon as I find my upload cable!

I'm liking the sort-of sketchy, homemade look for plushes and stuff right now. What do you think, imaginary readers? Hello?
                                                                                                 Sleepy time now,

that warm fuzzy feeling or my crazy night at the mall

Whew! I went to the mall with my cousin Nick last night. Most of the night was him trying to drag me out of Claire's. Normally I try to avoid that place on account of all of the usual banana montana and ho-ness brothers crud, but there was one thing in there that caught my eye: a glitter lip gloss. with a duck on top. and the duck had an afro.

duck. afro. seriously, claire's? why do you taunt me so!! you know I had just spent my ten dollars on a purple hair streak and chowder and flapjack pins!?!? (which are also ahhh-dawwrrable, I promise pictures soon)

I need it. I really do. Ever since seeing the adorable yarn-afro-duck my discerning eye for cute has made me notice fuzzy things. For example, have you SEEN the new 1-800-flowers commercial? they personify "that warm fuzzy feeling" into a little blob of fur with EYES. I need to make one of those somehow. I always thought "that warm fuzzy feeling" would look like, I dunno, a puppy or something. I'm not saying that's bad or whatever, but a furry blob. with little eyes. Really? No contest. I'll post a picture.

To all of the fuzzy blobs out there,
Ana

inaugural post- welcome cute-lovers!

Hello blogosphere! I'm ana. A connoisseur of cute, lover of all things adorable. I plan to use this blog to, uh, document my studies in the field. Of cute. Yes, I'm like a scientist. Ha ha. Off topic. Anyway, I want to, well, showcase cute finds, document my purchases of adorableness, spotlight specimens in my collection, show off adorable edibles, ect. I'll try to sound less like your 8th grade science teacher and more like the youngin' I really am. Here's to the good, the adorable, and the creepily sweet!
